NON-PUNCTURE WHEELS

The non-puncture tires have significant advantages over the conventional pneumatic tires or solid plastic tires.

The unique properties of the non-puncture tire provide an optimum blend of strength and memory. This memory allows the non-puncture to absorb impact, deform slightly, then return immediately to their original shape.

The hub and bearing assembly are unique and strong. Aircraft-grade aluminum is precision machined into a bearing housing which is subsequently molded into the wheel. Two sealed precision bearings are press-fit into the hub. This configuration provides a high-strength, maintenance-free assembly for very easy and smooth rolling.

Why Choose Non-puncture Wheels?

All non-puncture tires use heavy-duty plastic with polyurethane inner tubing tires to make the entire wheel assembly absolutely maintenance-free. In addition to being puncture-proof, these assemblies never need to be re-inflated. Conventional pneumatic tires, when stored for extended periods, gradually lose air pressure and must be re-inflated before use. With the polyurethane inserts, the wheels are always ready to roll at a moment's notice.

The assembly with inserts is also superior to other "flat-free" tires. Semi-pneumatic hollow rubber tires are shown in testing to be highly prone to sidewall collapse under relatively modest stresses. Hard, solid rubber tires provide no dampening of bumps or vibration. The polyurethane insert is a microcellular urethane — during the manufacturing process, tiny air bubbles or “cells” are foamed into the interior of the insert. This process provides the patient with a cushioned ride and the wheel is both durable and moisture resistant. The best maintenance-free wheel for all hard surface uses.
