WHEEL LOCKS
Optional Wheel Locks are offered (in pairs) to prevent an unattended PSC—with or without a patient—from rolling away (such as when stopped on an incline).
The wheels need to be locked if a patient is being transferred from a stretcher attached to a PSC to another surface, such as a decontamination roller system or a bed, etc. The Wheel Locks operate simply by lowering and raising the locking mechanism, like a wheelchair.
